Prior to this event, I had heard nothing but amazing things about Pho Bac, but never had the opportunity to check it out myself. So, I was ecstatic to hear the first event of the Yelp year would be at Pho Bac! It is a little spot on the corner in Canton, but it packs so much love in every square inch. This is truly evident by the love in every bowl of pho and plate of egg rolls.

How cute is this sign though?! Yelp Baltimore got a new community manager and she truly outdid herself for the first event! Everything was so smooth from start to finish! (Shout out to Stephanie and welcome to Baltimore!)

Also, look how cute this place setting is! Such fun goodies and the Yelp chopsticks are a great touch! (The chapstick also smells amazing btw)

Added this photo in just for fun because I love peanut sauce and I could totally eat that entire bowl! Also, how adorable is that mini Yelp pin?!

Now for the reason y’all came here…the food! First, we started off with some amazing egg rolls. Definitely always a hit and they were delicious! They were crispy, the filling tasty, and so good I may have eaten two (oops!). Highly recommend y’all check these out!

Next up: chicken skewers! I’m a huge fan of any skewer in all honesty. They were so flavorful, had a great char, and would be amazing with rice! I think anyone would easily enjoy this!

Now you can’t go to Pho Bac and not get pho! The real main attraction! A bowl of pho dac biet which is full of slice rare eye round, brisket, tendon, and tripe aka my favorite type of pho. This bowl is filled with love and you can totally tell. Highly recommend and definitely my pho spot when I’m in town!
My favorite part of the night was learning about the origin of how Pho Bac came to be and Mama Trang’s story. It was truly inspiring to hear of how she came here from Vietnam and started her restaurant. She truly puts her heart into her craft and it shows! Huge thank you to Mama Trang and Anna for welcoming all of us into the Pho Bac family and treating us so well! I left so full, wobbling to my car!
