Whole Foods – March Haul

Siete Grain Free Tortilla Chips (Sea Salt): When I was college and first really discovered Whole Foods, I once saw this woman buy a whole cart full of these chips and didn’t know the hype. I couldn’t buy any that day to try because she had bought them all. However, I finally got my hands on a bag and I totally see the hype, they are so good! Way better than regular tortilla chips in my opinion, but still just as crunchy!

Siete Cashew Queso (Blanco): This is my second jar of this stuff and it’s amazing! I am working on cutting dairy out and this was such a great alternative. Reminded me of the Tostito’s nacho cheese, but way better and has a slight kick (especially if you eat a jalapeno piece).

Siete Almond Flour Tortilla: I don’t avoid gluten or anything like that right now, but I really wanted to try these. I’ve had the cassava ones which are good, but these are definitely my favorite! If you toast them up a bit on a pan, they become super crispy and taste like a hard shell taco (which are my fave). I also personally don’t love the flour-y taste of tortillas, but these are amazing and don’t have that toughness.

RightRice (garlic herb): Alright y’all, being Asian, I’m pretty skeptical about my rice and rice alternatives are something I’ve definitely never encountered before. I’ve seen this brand taking over the internet and needed to try it for myself. Followed the directions on the packet and it was surprisingly tasty. A great alternative. I’d say obvi not the same as rice, but not a bad alternative once in a while. They also have other flavors as well. This reminds me of like the packet rices I used to get as a kid.

Catalina Crunch (Maple): I’ve seen @sarahaven talk about this brand many times. I finally saw it at Whole Foods during my visit and knew I needed a bag. I was super excited to try these, but they’re honestly just okay to me. They definitely have a very strong whey flavor and taste. The texture is super crunchy, which is kind of tough sometimes. I’ve only eaten them dry as a snack, but maybe with milk they would soften up a bit.

LightLife Bacon: I am a huge fan of the MorningStar bacon strips, so I was weary to try a new brand. However, I have been having a hard time finding the MorningStar strips, so I opted to try this. WOW. They are both very different from each other so I don’t want to compare. Flavor is a bit different, this one is definitely more smoky. It is also a lot crispier and keeps its crispiness as well. My problem with MorningStar was that I would have to eat it immediately because it would soften very quickly after cooking.

Follow Your Heart Mozzarella: I haven’t tried this product yet, but will come back to update. I love pretty much everything follow your heart makes, so I doubt this will be bad!
