Aldi Haul – August Pt 3

I’m sorry if you’re tired of the Aldi haul’s, but I just love Aldi’s so much and I feel like it’s really slept on tbh. August has some really great finds (finds = what Aldi calls new items, which come out every Wednesday, you can check on their app to see what’s coming to your store).

Earth Grown Vegan Ice Cream – I had bought one a few weeks ago (mint chocolate chip) which blew my mind away for vegan ice cream. So, I immediately bought all the flavors when I saw them this past week. I didn’t realize that the mint chocolate chip was made with coconut milk and these are actually made with oat milk. The coconut milk one was still delicious, but I would definitely opt for the oat milk ones, they’re so creamy! The vanilla cookie chip is definitely my favorite of the three, the cookie pieces are amazing. I love the slight crunch texture. The cold brew comes in a close second, I will say it’s a less coffee-y flavor than say the Starbucks ice creams, but still really delicious for a vegan option. The strawberry one was good, but it was definitely way too sweet for me, so I probably wouldn’t get it again, but it was tasty. It also has strawberry jelly swirls in it.

Earth Grown Vegan Dumplings – I’m going to be honest, I haven’t tried the tofu vegetable ones yet, but I am hoping that they’re better than the Thai basil ones. The Thai basil ones are definitely interesting to me. They have peas in it (which I did not notice on the package when I bought them) and peas are not a common dumpling ingredient, so it definitely adds an odd texture. I think without the peas, they would be really tasty and a staple. However, they’re just okay to me and flavor wise they’re just okay, definitely paired it with some chili oil and soy sauce.

Ben & Jerry’s Snackable Cookie Dough – This is obviously a no brainer. 100% recommend. So delicious! Fun fact: cookie dough is my favorite ice cream because I love the cookie dough pieces. So, this is amazing! I was not going to buy them because I’m trying to be healthy, but I knew if I didn’t get at least one bag, I would regret it immensely.

Dairy Free Spinach Artichoke Dip – I was super excited for this because it’s dairy free. I won’t say I love spinach artichoke dip, but I also wouldn’t pass it down if you put it in front of me. This is definitely interesting, very heavily mayo based which you can taste. After getting past that, I really liked it, but then it became super salty. So, overall I would give it a 6/10. I probably wouldn’t get it again, but think it’d be a good party option with some veggies or bread.

Brew Dr Watermelon – I’m not a huge fan of kombucha, but I try to force myself to like it because of the health benefits. This is definitely the best flavor and brand I’ve tried yet. It’s gingery, but not overpowering with a hint of watermelon. That’s the best I can do to describe it.

Ritz Toasted Chips – I grew up eating these, so y’all already know it’s a win for me. They’re tasty and don’t make me feel so guilty since they’re 40-50% less fat! Super tasty and I even ate it with some of the spinach artichoke dip, but I definitely prefer to just eat them on their own.
